Proposal to Reconstruct Orphanage - Pls Donate Liberally

Dear all,
On 2nd February 2011, our child was four years old. Generally, a 4-year-old can feed self, brush, wash, dress, arrange clothes with little assistance. The child understands and obeys simple rules, and begins to understand easy concepts and directions.

Mission5 has completed a journey of 4 years, of extending love, care and support to a group of needy children and the elderly. And like a 4-year-old we can do few things on our own, and for a few others we need a little help. We obey and worship the rules of the organization, and have slowly begun to think about giving direction to our walks.

To commemorate this landmark year, we wish to do something more valuable for the disadvantaged. We are planning to renovate and reconstruct Kannada Adarsha Mahila Makkala Samsthe, one of the two orphanages supported by Mission5.
The existing structure of 2 small rooms and a kitchen is very small and crowded for a group of 30 kids to dwell, study and keep their belongings. While the place feels hot and stuffy in summer, it leaks during monsoon. Lack of proper toilet facility for the growing kids is another serious concern.

We thus proposed a project to reconstruct a new structure titled “GHARONDA” – meaning a small house or a nest. The planning and designing of the structure is done keeping in mind the earth-friendly, economic and durable aspects. The new structure, made using mostly earth bags and other recycled materials, will have separate dormitory for boys and girls, study room, dining room, store room, lavatories and a small space for all kids to assemble.

This entire GHARONDA project has been budgeted up to Rupees 3.5 lakhs.

Team Mission5 requests all to support us in this endeavor to build a modest shelter for the needy children.

Every contribution is valuable to make this dream project come true for the kids at the orphanage.
