Remembering the Mahatma

SPECIAL STORY

So what did you do this Gandhi Jayanti? Yes, we all have an answer. But does that go well with the significance of the day - one of the few national holidays in the country.

Well, a bunch of kids, in an orphanage, far from the madding crowd, the hustle and bustle of the city, celebrated the day in a simple, inspiring way. A flag-hoisting ceremony was accompanied with the singing of the national anthem, followed by kids paying floral tributes to the Mahatma. The ceremony concluded with a short speech on the life and achievements of the Mahatma by one of Mission5 volunteers.

Could there be a better way to remember and pay tribute to the Mahatma who sacrificed his life for achieving the independence of this country?
